"Wasn't it a party!" has to be on the lips of everyone since 11:59 pm, Jan 8th, 2005. That's when most Elvis fans came out of venues around the globe, excitedly talking about the successful shows they attended in celebration of what would have been Elvis' 70th birthday! Audiences expressed 100% appreciation for the entertainers who gave 100% of their all in paying tribute with respect to the King of Rock & Roll. In Memphis and across the USA, to Canada & across the continents, fans looking for a place to celebrate E's 70th didn't have to travel very far at all and as a result, the Elvis communities had one heck of a party! LLM and our friends Memphis Motion produced one such terrific event in Brantford Ontario and as the host of the show, I'd love to share some of the great moments we had, with you! The "Birthday Bash" was held at the beautiful Sanderson Centre Of The Performing Arts, which is home to the annual Brantford Elvis Fest. Backed by one of Ontario's best E tribute bands Rudy & The Angels Band and background vocals by Memphis Motion, the show starred Pete Paquette, Gino Monopoli & Doug Church. We appreciate all the Elvis fans, many driving in from the US, Quebec and of course Ontario, who attended the show, fellow ETAs who came out and showed their support for their peers, the volunteers, staff & road crew of Memphis Motion and the LLM crew Doug McCready(photographer) & wife Linda (manning Doug Church's table for this show & LLM promotions), Dan Parker (videographer)& wife Patsy(photographer)and Carol Hunter (head writer). While the LLM crew captured some of the sights on film, I wrote a few little descriptions on each of the artists and we hope you will enjoy taking a look!
