The EEN convention of 2002 was better than last year! It was a fabulous three day event with much to see and hear. On the first day Nance held a cookout/barbeque in her back yard and had many fans there. Many of the ETAs shared their talents in a karaoke-style format on her back deck and it was a fun night for all. The second day brought seminars, which were very informative and the shows ran smoothly with great entertainers leaving the crowd wanting for naught. Nance Fox, Ronnie Craig, and Jerome Marion ran the shows very competently and all was a huge success. On the third day, there were more shows from the guys at the Empress Casino in Joliet, Illinois. The fans were equally impressed with everyone and it was a most memorable event. The ExSpence Account band played for us on Saturday and Sunday and never wavered nor tired. They were indefatigable, to say the least.

Here are a few words from EEN President, Nance Fox:

The Convention is over - we have had time to catch our breath - and all we can say is WOW! It was wonderful!

The weather was perfect for the picnic Friday night. In between stuffing themselves with hamburgers and fried chicken, the ETA's sang and got to know their fans. We had just over 250 guests. One of the highlights of the night was the sweet table! Many people brought wonderful desserts and they were VERY popular! After everyone left (about 4:30 AM), we went to clean up - the sweet table was EMPTY!

All of the out-of-town ETA's stayed at the Empress Casino Hotel compliments of the EEN. Many of them took advantage of the pool, workout room, and, of course, the casino!

Saturday afternoon, we had our seminars. We had 100% attendance and the ETA's seemed to have a great time and picked up lots of pointers. It was great to see the seasoned guys there along with the newer members. While the seminars were going on, Gary Wolfe, EEN's official photographer, took head shots of all the members. We now have some wonderful publicity photos! Gary also took over 600 spectacular pictures at the shows. I will have these pictures for everyone to see in Memphis. Some of the pictures are on our website.

Saturday night, our show at the Sabre Room was dynamic! The Sabre Room is a fabulous place to perform - such stars as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin have performed there and Elvis himself was scheduled to perform before his untimely death. The Exspence Account Showband was hot as a firecracker and each ETA seemed to be on top of his game. Sara Derfler and Tracy Kluzek, our beautiful scarf girls, surprised Ronny and I with beautiful birthday cakes - mine was purple! Doug Church, Jerome Marion, Irv Cass, and Ronny Craig presented me with a wonderful plaque in honor of my work to bring respect to Elvis Impersonation. I, of course, cried.....

Sunday, the excitement moved to the Empress Casino in Joliet. The Empress served a great free luncheon to all of the ETA's and 350 fans. Later in the afternoon, the Exspence Account took the stage and the EEN rocked the house! The huge ballroom was packed with many, many people standing and lines at the door. It didn't seem possible - but - the guys outdid themselves again. The Empress was so impressed they have asked us to schedule 4 big shows a year!
