Bobby Vee Show - Carol Hunter

Kudos to Bobby Vee, Brian Hyland, Danny and the Juniors, Jeff and Tommy Vee, musicians and band members, for a completely entertaining and enjoyable show -- and a chance to relive some wonderful memories listening to those great songs sung by the original artists whose talent turned them into hits and whose music has stood the test of time. Hope you’ll all be back again soon.

Well, we weren’t really “At the Hop,” but you could have fooled me and the capacity crowd who came to see and hear some of rock and roll’s original artists and to spend a wonderful evening reliving musical memories.

Recently, Bobby Vee, Brian Hyland, and Danny and the Juniors performed in the 1000-seat entertainment tent at the Windsor Raceway Slots -- as part of the Summer Concert Series lineup. Also featured were Bobby’s two sons, Jeff and Tommy, who perform as The Vees ( with lots of good rockabilly music and fun to be had there!!). I very much enjoyed the show and seeing the “teen idols” whose records I’d bought and whose songs had climbed to the top of the charts. In fact, Bobby Vee’s show, which stars a rotating cast of 1950's-60's pop artists, was very aptly named the “True Legends of Pop!” All of whom, by the way, have continued on with successful careers and have entertained fans world-wide for the last 40+ years!
