RONNIE MCDOWELL, SCOTTY MOORE, DJ FONTANA, JORDANAIRES, Casino Rama, Ontario, July 2004.
First of all, I must admit that I haven`t seen a lot of Elvis impersonators, but I had listened to Ronnie McDowell perform not only Elvis music, which he does second to none, but being being an avid country music lover, had also heard him doing his own style which has proven itself on the country charts. The show that I watched at Casino Rama on July 30th was by far more than I dreamed it would be. I closed my eyes many times and felt myself drift back over forty years. Elvis (Ronnie), Scotty Moore, D.J.Fontana and the great Jordanaires were there and they took me on the greatest trip that I have ever been on – from the start with That`s Alright Mama and the Sun years through to Las Vegas and American Trilogy. Scotty Moore has never aged with his guitar supremacy. D.J. still plays his kit like a youthful teen. As for the Jordanaires, they are without a doubt the greatest. Each of these entertainers have recorded with multitudes of other celebrities, BUT together they are the originators of Rock & Roll.

This is without a doubt the greatest show that I have ever seen. Ronnie, you, and all the rest should be proud. As I opened my eyes at the end of the show I swear I could almost see Elvis looking down at the stage and saying: You did it “My Way.” Wayne Knights, Ingersoll, Ontario.
(Wayne Knights was picked from the audience by Ronnie McDowell to sing along with him, Scotty, DJ, and the Jordanaires. Click here for Wayne’s account of his special evening.)

EDDIE MILES, Anderson, South Carolina, July 2004

We have been seeing Eddie’s shows for years and he never disappoints us. Eddie is simply as close as anyone can hope to come to seeing Elvis. He has the look, the voice, and the personality. His July 17, 2004 show in Anderson, SC was fantastic as always. Eddie’s opening show is also great. He sings some of the old country classics by artists such as Conway Twitty, Marty Robbins, George Jones, and Merle Haggard. And, as for Elvis songs, his performance of “Fever” and “It’s Midnight” makes my wife’s heart skip a beat. If you have a chance to see Eddie don’t miss it. He makes sure that everyone enjoys the show and is always there aftewards to meet fans and sign autographs. John & Teresa Stewart, Anderson South Carolina

SHAWN KLUSH, Northeast Fair, Pittston, Pennsylvania. August 2004.

On Aug 1,2004 I had the enjoyment of seeing Shawn Klush perform in Pittston,PA at the Northeast Fair. This was my first time seeing Shawn paying tribute to Elvis. My husband and I drove 2 1/2 hrs from here and Hagerstown to see someone that I have been hearing a lot about. The weather was calling for rain and boy did the rain start falling as soon as Shawn was stepping on stage for his first performance for the night. It poured down for the first 1/2 hr of Shawn's show. It could have called for a monsoon and no one would have noticed. He came out in this gorgeous baby blue jumpsuit with cape and white boots. This outfit was brand new. Some of the songs he sang were "Blue Hawaii," Teddy Bear," (during which he tossed out little bears in the crowd). I was able to get one of the white scarfs he gave out. I thought the first act was great then came the second act. Shawn wore his black leather for ACT 2 (lordy, lordy!). Thank heavens the rain went away for the rest of the night and fun was had by all. After the show I was able to get my pic. taken with Shawn in his beautiful burgundy suit with dress shirt. With his black hair this outfit really looked gorgeous. I hope I get to see Shawn again in the future. Elvis would be proud! Debby Lippy, Hagerstown, Maryland.

ROBIN KELLY. Collingwood Elvis Festival, Ontario, Canada. July 2004.

Robin Kelly's performance at The Collingwood Elvis Festival, during the Saturday evening Concert and the Friday evening open air stage Showcase in Collingwood was fantastic. He is one of the best Elvis Tribute Artists that my 2 friends and I have ever seen. He kindly agreed to pose with us for this photo. Robin is an extremely talented young performer. J. Powell

ROBIN KELLY. Collingwood Elvis Festival, Ontario, Canada. July 2004.
Two days on a Greyhound bus, one way, was definitely worth the time to see Robin Kelly perform!!!! From the opening night Street Dance to the 2 performances featuring the "Past Champions," Robin did his fans, Elvis, and everyone in Collingwood proud by doing many wonderful portrayals of "THE KING." I think my favorite times of the weekend, however, were when Robin was hosting venues and his charm and humour came out to make the audience REALLY enjoy themselves and be a big part of the show. Table dancing on a plastic table in the sand surely makes for a fun time and we all enjoyed watching Robin do that. Sunday night after the finals was THE BEST time I have had in ages and I thank you again Robin for making the weekend another wonderful “Robin” experience for me. I missed the Tim Horton’s donut shop singing but next time I will be there too. Collingwood Rocks and Robin Rocked Collingwood AGAIN. Keep on TCB'n for Elvis and for his fans.

ROBIN KELLY - Toronto Elvis Boat Cruise, August 2004
I am new to this entire Elvis Tribute thing; however, I must say I'm not disappointed. My first event was the Collingwood Elvis Festival and one of the first entertainers I had the pleasure of seeing perform was Robin Kelly and needless to say I was so impressed by his talent and friendly character I had to ensure I was on the Elvis boat cruise I heard about. The cruise featured other tribute artists Little Elvis ( Steven Pelleriti), James Begley, Tim E, John Preston and Will Thompson and they were all very good. However, I have to admit my favourite was Robin Kelly. Not only did he do a spectacular job portraying the movie years while starting in the Blue Hawaii outfit and finishing in the red Speedway jacket he also once again exhibited that professional yet friendly quality I experienced in Collingwood. Robin's voice is phenomenal and the moves unbelievable. My only regret is that his performance wasn't longer. I cannot wait until Robin returns to Ontario and I have an opportunity to attend his full show. I'm sure I will not be disappointed. Sally B - Toronto, Ontario

RONNIE MCDOWELL, Recent Shows

I have seen Ronnie Mcdowell numerous times and he will always be my number one artist as far as I am concerned.. he is a class act and doesn’t try to act like someone that he’s not.. or act uppity.. like some entertainers do.. and he always has a hug for me every time I see him. EDDIE MILES, Recent Shows

Although I've only been traveling to see Eddie perform since March of this year--it's seems like forever! Never having seen Elvis perform and hearing and reading so many wonderful things about Eddie I realized I was missing out on something...what it was I didn’t yet quite know!! I’ve since traveled to Georgia, Elkin, North Carolina, Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach, Greensboro & recently to Memphis during Elvis Week 2004 to see this top notch entertainer perform. I'm never disappointed and continue to be amazed at Eddie's talent and ability to touch everyone he entertains. Eddie’s first set or “front show” features songs by Country greats and is a welcome change from the ordinary. His Elvis Tribute, which follows, is GOLD! Eddie is good natured, charismatic, humorous and one of the most personable entertainers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I treasure each performance and ALWAYS look forward to the next. EDDIE MILES -- you're simply the BEST! Always Love Thru Elvis, Your #1 Florida Fan...Cheryl Mikesell, Florida

RICK ALVITI, Executive Inn, Owensboro, Kentucky, August 2004
I saw Rick Alviti for the second time on August 7, 2004 at the Executive Inn in Owensboro, Kentucky. Rick sang to a sold out enthusiastic crowd for 2 ½ hours. He wore three different outfits, starting with a red jacket and black pants, then a black leather suit, and finally a white jumpsuit. He looked absolutely wonderful in each outfit. He sang some of my favourite songs, including “My Way,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Wonder of You.” Rick really interacts with the audience, and he came out into the crowd several times during his show. Rick is very much a gentleman and a wonderful performer. I also enjoyed the tremendous band and the Patsy Cline tribute by one of the backup singers. Betty Crosier, Louisville, Kentucky

JEFF KRICK, Eastern Pennsylvania. Recent Show
In the 50's and 60's, adoring Elvis Presley was something every teenage girl did naturally. We'd listen to that wonderful voice coming from our record players for hours and hours. There was NO ONE like him. Now the ETA's come along and try to give us die-hard fans our memories back, singing, looking, dressing and gyrating like him. But there will NEVER be another Elvis. I've seen many ETA's, looking for that special one who really "does it all". I found him after quite a long search - 8 years ago in Reading, Pa., and since that first night sitting in the audience listening intently, watching with a VERY critical eye, scrutinizing him with everything I had in me - I found that he's the only one I've ever seen that has it all, and does it all. But also amazingly, he has the personality and the presence that was so much like Elvis. He acknowledges everyone in his audience, shaking the hands of the gentlemen, and singing directly to the ladies. I'll never go see another ETA. I was a loyal and loving fan of Elvis, and Jeff has earned my admiration for the way he presents his Tributes to our King of Rock and Roll. Jeff Krick is one to see and hear if you want the memory of Elvis to come alive for you. His eyes, his hands, and his voice - it's unbelievable. He does every phase of Elvis - Early, Movie, Vegas, even Gospel, there's no stopping him.

jeff.jpg

There's practically no song he can't do, and he does them all so well - even the more obscure songs t - "I'll Never Know,” "Pieces of My Life,” "Sylvia,” “Fairytale,” ,"Rip It Up" - and the standard songs, "Hurt" is a killer; "Sweet Caroline," "All Shook Up", etc. - You just think you're going to look up and there's the Man himself. Other ETA's may have a few songs down pat, a few moves that look good; they may even give you that lip quiver and melt your heart - BUT - if you want it all wrapped up in one mighty fine package - go see Jeff Krick. Visit his website, www.jeffkrick.netfirms.com - But more importantly, visit him at a performance. You'll be glad you did. Judy Fontana, Boyertown, Pa.

ROY PROPES, Scranton Eagles Club, Scranton, Pennsylvania, August 2004

I saw Roy Propes last Saturday night at a sell out show in the Scranton Eagles Club. This was his 6th sell out show, and what a show! The best I have ever seen! He did the ‘68 sit down part, and he did a tribute that I’ve never seen done before. They lit a candle and had a big picture of Elvis..and he knelt and sang, “I’ll Remember You.” There were no dry eyes in the place. And the way he does “Hurt!”...he is the best at that song! Rose, Pittston, Pennsylvania

JEFF KRICK, Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. August 2004
All decked out in blue and sequins for his show at the Gilbertsville Fire Company in Gilbertsville, Pa., Jeff Krick was anything BUT blue on Saturday night, delighting his fans with memories of the "Man". Sitting in the audience, watching this incredible performer, I couldn't help but feel this is one very special young man, sounding like, looking like, and behaving like Elvis Presley, but never once, trying to BE him. He admits very readily that there was and always will be only ONE Elvis. He wants only to keep the memory alive, and believe me, with his stamina and talent, he will continue to do so, and continue to satisfy his audiences 110%. He also made a super announcement during his show -- The Stamps Quartet, Elvis' back-up group will be coming to Gilbertsville in March to do a show with him. What an honor for him, but I say, it'll also be an honor for The Stamps. This superb entertainer, Jeff Krick, performing with the world renowned Gospel Group, The Stamps - well, if you people out there don't get chills up and down your spine just reading about it, then you don't know what you'll be missing. Tickets began selling last night, and I doubt that they'll have any left much longer. I was sure to get mine, and I will be there to see this very special event. Jeff, you are the next best one to the King himself, and I am as loyal to you as I was to him. Thank you for being who you are, and giving us the memories in the way they're meant to be - Elvis' way, true and honest. You TCB.

ARIK CHRISTOPHER 5th Annual Big E Festival/Contest- Cornelia, Georgia. August 2004 Arik Christopher's performance at the Big E Festival was absolutely amazing! From the time he arrived at the Louder Milk Boarding House Museum until the very last fans left, he had people taking his picture and wanting autographs! I heard such fantastic comments on how never before had people seen someone look so much like Elvis! Arik's prelim set consisted of his 50s Elvis routine. All decked out in his pink sport coat, Arik delighted the audience with "Money Honey," "That's When Your Heartaches Begin," and "Shake, Rattle & Roll!" All to which he was amazing at! The crowd went wild, the screams kept going and going! As finalists were called and Arik's name was announced the crowd again went wild..their favorite had made it! For finals, Arik donned the black pants, black shirt and red scarf for King Creole. It was like watching Danny Fisher (Elvis's character in King Creole) take the stage and do his thing! He started the set with "Trouble/Evil” went into "Dixieland Rock" and ended with "New Orleans!" His heart was into it and he perfected it like he was there to do! Arik made TONS of new fans..and it was proven when they announced the People's Choice Winner....ARIK CHRISTOPHER!!! What an honor to know you're the PEOPLE'S FAVORITE! Arik also walked away with 2nd Place in the contest! He made his fans proud!!! Arik Christopher is truly a dynamite entertainer! With his uncanny resemblance to the 50s Elvis, his fantastic moves and his AMAZING Voice, he's sure to leave a lasting impression on many!!! Way to go Arik, WE LOVE YOU! Cortney Amador.

JESSE ARON, Civic Center, Palestine, Texas, August 2004

Last Friday night (August 20), at the Civic Center in Palestine, Texas I sat in my seat (sometimes) and watched and listened to a young man by the name of Jesse Aron. We were all just blown away!!! I was lucky to have seen Elvis in person in the 70's. It was like being there all over again. I have worked with tribute artists a lot before and one thing that I have always believed is that when you pay tribute to "The King" you have a responsibility to do it with Style. And Jesse Aron did exactly that and more. I saw a friend of mine there that I had not seen in quite a while. She worked for Elvis for seven years. She was very impressed with Jesse. He was wonderful in all three eras of Elvis that he did. And outside of his tribute to Elvis, Jesse is awesome in his own right. I got to talk to him briefly before the show and afterwards and he is just wonderful. He has the greatest personality ! And ladies let’s not forget Jesse Aron is easy on the eyes himself!!!!! So if he is in your area Don't Miss Him!!!! I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures that I took at the show. I hope you all enjoy seeing it as much as I did taking it... Carol Shahin, Jacksonville,Texas
