Hello friends! I hope this article finds everyone doing great! It's been a somewhat busy summer, one that is now coming to an end. School has started once again and it feels so weird that I'm no longer there! I've graduated and moved on now! I made my trip to Memphis for Elvis week again this year! And boy was it fun! There were a few things that were weird, like one being my mom didn't go this year. It was weird without her there! We're BOTH going next year though for sure! This year I got to meet many people I had chatted with through the 'net! That was exciting! One of those people I finally got to meet face to face was the person I am featuring this month, Paul Ross! So read on, and enjoy! I also want to add, that August, made 1 year I have been writing Cortney's Corner! It's been great fun and I look forward to writing more articles about more great ETA's for you all to read about! =)


Paul Ross, is what some call "new to the business." Paul's first show as an ETA was in February of 2001! Since then he has done more shows, contests, showcases, etc. He has also purchased new jumpsuits too! He entered the Non-Pro Division of the contest in Collingwood, and guess what, HE WALKED AWAY WITH FIRST PLACE!!


I first met Paul through a group online called ElvisPresleyTributeArtist. I had seen messages from him and checked out his website, and all that good kind of stuff. As time went on, I would joke around with him through the e-mails on the group and we became "internet pals." Paul never fails to pick on me about something, but it's all in fun! He keeps me laughing that's for sure!


I had never heard Paul sing being that he is from Canada, and I'm of course in Indiana, until we all started chatting on Pal Talk. The first time he sang a song there on Pal Talk, I was surprised! He had an awesome voice, that caused more and more people to ask him to sing more songs!! I was very

impressed!


Memphis time came and I was looking forward to meeting so many people and I got to meet Paul and his wife Stacey. When he took the stage at the Jamie Aaron Kelley & Friends show at the Overton Park Shell, and sang his two songs, I got chills! No joking around here, his voice is AWESOME! He belts out the power songs and does them WELL! I didn’t get to talk to him much there, but I did see him more at the Images Of The King Contest. He performed in the contest and once again I was beyond impressed!! He may not

have been a finalist, but he was a finalist in my books!


To sum up my story about Paul, I want to mention he is a great person and a FANTASTIC ETA!! If he is ever in your area, be sure to catch the show! Paul is from Canada, so all you Lady Luck fans in Canada have a better chance at seeing him then his new fans and friends here in USA! =( But we all look forward to seeing him again!! Special Note: Many if not all of you know of what happened to our dear friend Ray Guillemette. I just wanted to put a note here on Cortney's Corner, to have everyone keep Ray in their prayers. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but with the support and love he is getting from friends/fans he will keep getting stronger! I wish there was a way for me to get to his benefit, but all of you who are able to attend, please do so! Help Ray like he has helped many others in the past! WE LOVE YOU RAY!
