What a weekend! The Montreal audience on Friday, March 2nd, were treated to a fantastic Showcase, as Al Ross blew them away with his tribute to Tom Jones and Jesse Aron as Roy Orbison had the people screaming!
Wayne Jr., who also performed as Johnny Cash, simply had the crowd electrified and on the dance floor as he sang a variety of Country songs that catered to line dancing, two-steppin' and rock & roll! Young Matt Nardi sang the latest hits of Italy and then jumped in to some Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi tunes and Jim Bishop, Danny Granger, Elvis Gauthier and Joey Cundari kept the spirit of Elvis alive in song!
Saturday was the night of all nights with an outstanding cast for the 12th annual Montreal Elvis Peoples Choice Awards. The audience had a very difficult time choosing the winners, to the point of having a run-off song for Wayne Junior and Jesse Aron who tied for 1st place. Even then, the audience was torn between these two Champs, casting their votes for the second time and by a mere 3 votes, electing Jesse Aron as the 2012 Peoples Choice Grand Champion. Third and fourth place went to Elvis Gauthier and Matt Nardi respectively.
The famous Montreal crowd wasn't shy, expressing their appreciation with standing ovations given to powerful vocals by Al Ross and cheered on ALL the performers for their excellence.
We send out special thanks to all the performers and to the audience who came out to support them. Remember, in an LLM Peoples Choice, everyone is a winner!
